Service Description

The following will be covered as a part of the workshop. Topics covered 1. Jowar / Bajra Ready pre-mixes (Use need to choose one of them) Preparation of Jowar/Bajra Rava at home. Practical cooking of Jowar/Bajra Rava upma or kichadi (you can choose) in class. 2. Ragi Rava / Jowar / Bajra (Choose one of them) Preparation of Rag/Jowar/ Bajra Rava at home. Practical cooking of Millets Pidi Kozhakattai Try to choose 2 different Rava’s so that you get to learn 2 varieties. This can be further extended into 10 different millets which I shall be explaining in the class. The above 3 millets varieties are examples if you don’t get them, you may ping me and check what’s available in your place. A recipe pdf with 10 different variations with premixes will be shared to you at the end of the class. It will be a quick walk through of other millets for which you can follow the same techniques, recipes and recreate at home. What is not covered Sprouted version cannot be covered as it takes time to do, and it depends on your climate. I shall be explaining in class various points on sprouting, and you may take offline support for your future batches which you prepare at home. For Bajra / Jowar - My moong bean sprouts method works for some climate. Ragi is a totally different method of sprouting, and you can expect a YouTube video on this. The sprouts process for all these requires 4 working days which includes soaking, sprouting, and sun drying. Please note that you need to wash, soak and dry millets – Either under Sunlight or under fan and hence there is a pre-preparation for this workshop You may choose to cook or just watch and cook later – I leave it to your choice, but every spot is treated as though you are cooking.
